I have a query regard share transfer stamp, we have to pay share transfer stamp worth Rs.20 Lacs. We are in confusion that where to pay that fees and how to pay that fees.

So pls help us out.

08 September 2010 YOu can get the amount of duty of paid by way of Franking on the Share Transfer Deed. Such facilities are provided by Stock Exchanges, Banks etc

08 September 2010 Hello Sir Thanx for the reply but even in case of franking we have to prepare a DD, so do let me know in whose favor we should prepare that DD.

08 September 2010 Hello but as i have talked to one of my friend he told me that DD should be prepared in the name of RBI or stamp registry office is it so?

08 September 2010 I have done it through banks from the account lying in our bank account. I suggest that you should contact the bank or the stock exchange and obtain the requisite information.
