Ssi exemption

09 May 2013 Sir,
Our Last F.Y. Turnover was below 400 Lakhs hence we can take the SSI Exemption but we have charged Excise Duty from some of the customers now we want to switch to the exemption.
So what is the possible wayout

09 May 2013 If you have to charge the excise duty then you can not avail the exemption of SSI.

09 May 2013 so from now i have to file ER-1 Return and i will be treated as Assessee other than SSI Exemption..

09 May 2013 Yes, you will file ER-1 and you will not be able to avail ssi benefit.
