17 September 2012 Wish to start a business as a Contractor to govt. organisations for civil work as construction as a Sole Proprietor. Pls suggest what the legal obligations required.

18 September 2012 These All are Applicable When You Touch Certain Limits.

Like Service Tax If Your Annula Services Exceed 10 Lacs Then Need to pay SErvice Tax. if Exceed 9 Lacs, Then Need to register With ST department.

EPF Applicable When You are Paying Salary in Payroll Less Than Rs. 6500 Per Month to employee.& Employee Strenghth Ecxceed 20.
Same in ESI When Salary Less Tha 15000 Per Month & Employee Strenghth Exceed 20.

18 September 2012 Annual Services exceed 10 lacs means Billed amount exceed 10 lacs for the year. is it?
But some govt. organisations ask for tax registration in prior?
