total income is 2000000/- twenty lacks, slabs: from to pers tax
00 250000/- nil nil
250000/- 500000/- 10% 50000/-
500000/- 1000000/- 20% 200000/-
1000000/- above 30% 75000/-
question is: 250000/- to 5000000/- means we can take 10% on 500000/- or 250000/- plz clarify.

it is 10% on Rs. 250000.
First 250000 tax will be nil
There after from 250000 to 500000, 10 of the difference amount which comes to Rs. 250000 (i.e. 500000-250000) and tax comes to Rs.25000 and so on.
