07 January 2012 Is there any specific resolution for which EGM can not be held by shorter notice by a private company?
Can the object clause be changed by a private company through EGM by short notice?
Please reply.

There is no any specific resolution for which EGM can't be held by shorter notice.

Yes you can change the object clause by calling EGM at shorter notice.

07 January 2012 If there is any specific provision in your Articles of Association regarding shorter Notice, then you have to follow this. Check your AOA simultaneously.

07 January 2012 There is no specific clause on Short Notice in our AoA.

09 January 2012 If there is no specific clause in your AOA

Then u can give shorter notice,
get the consent of members constituting 95% presents and who has right to vote via form 22A,

Conduct EGM, file form 23 with altered MOA within , Notice of EGM along with resolution within 30 days.

Provided that page on which object clause is mentioned in MOA, first page and last page has to be signed by at least one Director while sending it to ROC.
