Shifting of hea office

25 October 2014 A company has registeredand corporat office in Delhi. it wants to shift the head office from Delhi to other state. But regd office will continue to be in Delhi. Is the company required to communicate the address of new head office to the tax authorities legally or it is optional. Please reply urgently. If yes then is there any time limit for giving such intimation.

26 October 2014 Since yours is a company then first go through the formalities under the Companies act for shifting office from Delhi.
Once your approval is received from the court and or ROC then you have to change the address in your PAN Card and also you have to intimate the Assessing Officer that your office has been shifted.

26 October 2014 Thank you Mr Agarwal. But as I mentioned in my query that the registered office of the company is not being shifted it will still be in Delhi only head office/corporate office will be shifted. In that case whther the company is required to intimate the tax authorities that my query.
