Capital of company is divided in small units, each unit is call share. When company, with the permission of SEBI, whats to raise monye from public, it will issue the shares through Prospectus by following Companies Act, SEBI Guidelines etc.
Share includes stock. Normally stock is not issued, rather share is converted into stock. Share has uniform face value, stock may have different face value and it can be in decimal points also.
