04 April 2015 A Pvt Ltd company has issued & alloted PREFERENCE shares at premium. Is premium on preference shares taxable in the hands of the company u/s 56 like premium on equity shares? If Yes, what is the method of valuation of Fair Market Value for the purpose of calculating Income?
