BOTH MERGED.
WHETHER SHARE CERTIFICATE ALSO CONVERTED INTO ONE CERTIFICATE? IF YES. WHAT WILL BE THE DATE WHICH IS TO BE ENETERD ON THE NEW SHARE CERTIFICATE?

As i understand X gets merged into Y. Then transfer the shares held by X in A Ltd., in favour of Y. A does not have to new share certificate.

Moreover, it would not be a "Transfer" in legal parlance. Only the name would get changed in the records.
