27 February 2013 An existing manufacturing company having its unit (Unit-I) working in DTA setup a manufacturing unit in SEZ (Unit-II).

Does the transaction between unit-I & unit-II qualify for the Import & Export transactions?

Kindly advice.

REFER TO PARA 6.11(A) OF FOREIGN TRADE POLICY 2009-2014 DTA TO EOU WILL BE REGARDED AS "DEEMED EXPORTS" AND DTA SUPPLIER SHALL BE ELIGIBLE FOR RELEVENT ENTITLEMENTS UNDER CHAPTER-8 OF FOREIGN TRADE POLICY FOR MORE INFORMATION READ FOREIGN TRADE POLICY 2009-2014

27 February 2013 as per PARA 6.19.1 OF HAND BOOK OF PROCEDURES VOL-1(2009-2014) SAYS THAT

"FOB VALUE OF EXPORT OF AN EOU UNIT CAN BE CLUBBED WITH FOB VALUE OF EXPORTS FOR its PARENT COMPANY IN DTA or vice versa for the purpose of according Export House and TRADING HOUSE STATUS"
