Is Services provided to CPWD under works contracts by a private limited company(works contractor) is taxable to service tax or not ?

Dear Manish,
CPWD, is a central government owned authority in charge of public sector works. Notification no. 25/2012 - ST provides exemption in relation to various services provided to Government. S. No. 12 of the said notification provides some exemption in relation to construction activities. You can check whether the private player providing such services as referred in the notification. It yes, then he is entitled to exemption.
