can a company claim refund of the service tax for Rent paid on office premises..? or it should be expensed off when it doesn't have any output service tax to set off..? Please clarify..

If you are providing taxable service then u can take input of service tax paid on rent.

Can u please clarify regarding the refund of service tax paid on rent which is in excess of output service tax payable..?can the refund be claimed?

I think only credit can be carried forward.
