hi,
pre-budget the rate of service tax was 10.30 (inc cess and higher cess)
in the budget its said the service tax increses by 2% /Do you mean now the cess and higher cess is droped and new rate is 12% or the new rate is 12.36%

New Service tax rate is 12% + EC 2% and SHEC 1%. Total 12.36%.
