26 August 2009 1. What is the latest rate for air ticketing agents for domestic and international and whether it is after abatement or this is special rate?

2. and can they take input credit of phone etc.

3. if they are making visa passport etc. and taking service charges from their clients in that case are they liable for service tax if yes then at what rate

26 August 2009 service tax rate for domestic air tickets is 0.618% and international is 1.236%
However for other services like Visa Passport tax ST rate is 10.3%. Abatement applies to Car & Hotel booking services.

26 August 2009 Option to pay 0.618% on domestic fare and 1.236% on international fare. If not availing the option then the rate of tax would be 10.3%.
Yes, service provider can take the input credit of phone used in relation to business. Yes, commission received against making passports etc are liable for service tax and the rate of tax is 10.3%
