Dear experts,
What are the various ways of serving show cause notice on the assessee for recovery of duty under excise? Does service of SCN in wrong manner makes it invalid? If yes then whether adjudication proceeding will be deemed to be concluded in such a case?

Service of SCN is usually by post. Yes serviec of notice in a wrong manner makes the SCN invalid. No, adjudication proceeding does not outright get concluded ..
