05 August 2016 sir , i have a doubt in amalgamation i.e. "why purchasing co. debited goodwill a/c in his book when he pays the liquidation expense of the vendor company"

06 August 2016 Payment made over & above the value of net assets is debited to goodwill. This is an 'extra' payment so same treatment. If cap. Res. Was created on purchase then exps are debited to this a/c as capital profit on purchase is reduced due to this payment.
