I have passed my CA inter in 1989 and due to some fmly problems i could not pursue the studies. Now I am willing to continue with Final Is it possible to continue at this age of 48. Kindly guide me.

Age is no bar in CA. u need to have same confidence, motivation,+ve attitude and willingness to strive very hard even though initially you may find difficulties.
dont worry the examiner doesnt know person who is writing paper.
make group study with ca finalist in your area or join some crash or weekend batches.
try to give exam groupwise and understand how icai is asking question.
dont give up...god help those who help themselves.

try to follow icai's study material and follow their method.
dont bother about age and all, focus on study make timetable and strictly follow it after considering all factors in your life.
