15 May 2009 Hello All,

Sorry to put this query in Income Tax category, as this category is popular.

I have COP issued to me in Apr-09. Also i am engage in employment. My query is

1. Can i take tax audit assignments?
2. Can i be a auditor of company?
3. Can i be a partner of CA firm?

Please reply fast, its urgent for me.

15 May 2009 First thing you have COP then you can not be in employment legally. If you are in only practice then answers of your all of above Q would be YES.

I did not heard of part time COP and part time employment!!

15 May 2009 I have taken permission from ICAI to be in employment along with practice.

That is possible to in part time practice & part time employment.

Please give me guidance, in case you know that.

15 May 2009 you can be a partner in a CA firm but we cannot take tax audit & stat audit
