21 May 2009 "If husband and wife have substaintial interest in the concern and the both are in receipt of remuneration from such concern, remuneration will be included in the total income of spouse whose total income is greater excluding such remuneration"
I want to know that "such remuneration" means the excessive remueration which the spouse is getting over and above the qualification or total remuneration???

Its the total remuneration which will be added in the hands of other spouse whose income is greater otherwise than remunaration from such firm. There is no question of any excessive remuneration. This is a deeming section therefore the total income of one spouse will be clubbed in the hands of other spouse.
