12 January 2010 Assist me while understanding the provisions of section 10A of Income Tax Act 1961 for availing the exemption under the said section as in what quantum exemption under the said section avilable for first 5 years and thereafter remaining years as quantum of exemption differs over the years.

13 January 2010 As per the provisions of section 10 A all units which are engaged in export activites would be allowed a deduction as per the provisions of section 10A of the IT act and deduction would be available based on profit of the business x export turnover divided by Total turnover of the business.

For detailed description pls go thru the section 10A as it is a very vaset section with detailed provisioning which i have explained in breif.
