Can interest on housing loan be claimed by each of Rs.1.5 lakhs ie husband and wife, if they are joint owners and earning income and repaying loan. urgent plz

Yes each of the joint holder can claim Rs.1.5lacs housing loan interest under section 24(b).

Yes deduction can be claimed by both cc-owners to extent of Rs. 1.5 lakhs.
