24 April 2012 What if an assessee receiving notice under section 148 does not have copy of returns filed 5 years before nor does remember exact details of returns.What should be sent as reply?

29 April 2012 First take adjournment and then take copies from the Income Tax Department either through the dealing clerk or apply for the certified copies which will require you to file an application with the fee to be deposited against certified copies.
