24 January 2015 Hi..I am currently working in RBS in accounting profile.I just got an opportunity in a small Belgium based company as a IFRS business analyst.Is it a correct decision to leave a big brand for IFRS profile?

24 January 2015 The scope of IFRS is Good/immense in upcoming future as the ICAI has submitted Road Map of Implementation of IFRS on Indian Co's to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs for its consideration which is expected to take decision in the matter shortly.

But the above implementation would be on select cos initially

In March 2014, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) submitted to Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) a proposed new IFRS roadmap and convergence plan for India. In the proposed roadmap, the ICAI recommended implementation of Ind AS by select companies only in preparation of their consolidated financial statements.

And also In July 2014, the Finance Minister in his Budget speech proposed the adoption of the new Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS – the converged IFRS standards) by Indian companies voluntarily from FY 2015-16 and mandatory from FY 2016-17.

24 January 2015 Decision Regarding leaving must be taken after taking into account the future permutations & combinations.
