dear sir/mam
for calculate dep as per schedule II required date of purchase but we have not know the actual date of purchase because assets purchase in the year 2000-01 and recored maintain from 2008-09 please given a solution to overcome from such situation

dear take first year as 2000-01 because as per companies act you need to keep records for 8 years only.
So no one wil ask for the proof.
Actual date will not matter as asset purchased in 2000-01 take arpund mid of that year .
no need to worry.
