22 November 2014 What error is it showing?

22 July 2025 For your client’s Pvt Ltd company registered in Ahmedabad but now operating in Navi Mumbai, here’s what you should do for ROC annual filing for FY 2012-13:

Use the correct forms for the financial year 2012-13

For that year, MCA required e-forms 23AC, 23ACA (financial statements) and 20B (annual return).

However, MCA replaced older forms with new versions (like AOC-4 for financials and MGT-7 for annual return) from FY 2014-15 onwards. So for FY 2012-13, you should file the old forms.

MCA portal not accepting old forms

Sometimes the MCA portal disables older forms after a cutoff date.

In such cases, you may need to file through the ‘MCA21’ legacy filing option if available, or contact MCA helpdesk for assistance.

Filing location mismatch

ROC filing is based on the registered office state (i.e., Ahmedabad = Gujarat ROC jurisdiction).

Operating from Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra) doesn’t change the ROC jurisdiction for filings. So you must file with Gujarat ROC.

Action points:

Check if you are uploading the forms to the correct ROC portal (Gujarat ROC).

Try clearing browser cache or use a different browser if form upload is failing.

If the MCA portal rejects the form due to the FY, get in touch with MCA helpdesk or your ROC office for special assistance to file late returns.

Summary:

Use old forms (23AC, 23ACA, 20B) for FY 2012-13.

File with ROC Gujarat.

If portal rejects, contact MCA support or ROC office.
