HI CAN ANYBODY TELL ME THAT CAN WE MAKE RG1 IN COMPUTERISED FORMAT LIKE RG23A,C ETC,?? IS ALLOWABLE BY EXCISE DEPTT. MAINTAIN RG1 IN COMPUTERISED

RG-1 ( DSA) has to be maintained physical and in hard bound format, 1st and last pages has to be signed by the manufacturer. and entry would appear as and when the transactions take place.
if the assessee want to maintain the same in computer format, then he has to seek permission from AC/DC, by specifying the process to be adopted and reason for this,
upon verification of the facts, juridictional AC/DC may allow the same.
