I have already filed the return for AY11-12. But the amount of Relief under sec 89 needs to be corrected. So do I have to file a revised return and will this be under sec 139(1)

You can revise your return if u have filed it within the time prescribed u/s 139(1) otherwise you have to file application u/s 154.
