A & Co. case was selected for scrutiny during the A.Y. 2007-08.During the scrutiny proceedings it was found that some statutory payments not paid within the due date were not disallowed by the assessee while computing the total income. Hence the same were disallowed by the AO in the assessment order for A.y. 2007-08. The said amounts were paid during the FY 2007-08. Hence the same will be allowed during the A.Y. 2008-09.A.Y. 2008-09 case has also been selected for scruting.Now, what should the assessee do? Should he file a revised return for AY 2008-09 and claim the said expenses disallowed in AY 2007-08 or the same will be automatically allowed at the time of scrutiny proceedings for the A.Y. 2008-09.

AT THE TIME OF SCRUITNEE YOU SHOULD PRODUCE THE LAST YR ASSESSMENT ORDER AND SHOW PROOF OF PAYMENT.THEN A.O. WILL CONSIDER EXP TO BE ALLOWED.

It will not be allowed automatically. You have to submit the payment proof along with the return for last AY
