Can we still file revised return under section 139(5) for FY 2021-22 as on 3rd March, 2023 or the only option is 139(8A).

The final date for filing revised return for AY 2022-23 was 31.12.2022.
The updated return u/s. 139(8A) for the said year can be filed from 01.04.2023.

I read in an article that "CBDT has enabled E-Filing of updated Income Tax Return on Income Tax Portal for AY 2022-23 (FY 2021-22)". I have not tried filing yet. So is it confirmed that we cannot file ITR U before 1st April, 2023 for FY 2021-22.

CBDT has not updated filing of ITR u/s. 139(8A) for AY 2022-23 as yet. Expected to update it only after 31.03.2023.
