19 November 2013 Is reverse charge mechanism is applicable for Tour Operator......???
Because corporate entity are saying that that the service tax liability is us not yours.

19 November 2013 Dear Abhay,

If the assessee is providing the service of 'Rent-a-cab' then that is covered under Partial Reverse Charge Mechanism.
However, if the service is in the nature of metered cab or radio taxi, then that is not liable to service tax as the same is exempted vide negative list.

19 November 2013 Dear Abhay,

You need to determine the nature of service provided. Whether it is 'Rent-a-cab' or Tour operator service. If its 'Rent-a-cab' then amend ST 2.
