what if the registered supplier has not filed his return
& we have avail input on the basis of tax invoice issued to us

01 August 2018 you can take input on the basis of invoice, this is different matter party filed or not filed return.

01 August 2018 ok, but someone said u cant avail input if supplier has not filed his return, you are eligible for input only for those invoices which dealer has submitted in his gstr-1

kindly explain is it true

01 August 2018 as per invoice you had paid tax, and on the basis of the tax paid invoice you can avail input. on party of the dealer, he has to filed gstr 1 otherwise dealer pay the interest & late fee liability. You don't worry about that.

03 August 2018 as per invoice you had paid tax, and on the basis of the tax paid invoice you can avail input. on party of the dealer, he has to filed gstr 1 otherwise dealer pay the interest & late fee liability. You don't worry about that.
