I had received a letter from the income tax department saying that you have submitted a snap shot of confirmation on submission of compliance request instead of acknowledgement of your com;liance in response to our letter dated 10.7.15. Therefore, you are requested to submit a copy of the acknowledgement to the office of the undersigned within seven days of receipt of this letter.
in the compliance section of the efiling of income tax i had mentioned that income is not taxable limit and sent the copy to the department .
I am a house wife. my saving is invested in shares and fixed deposit. income is less than one lakh per year. i am therefore not filing return. why i get this letter when my income is not in taxable limit. what to do now.

14 July 2016 There seems to be some confusion between what you were required to submit and what you have submitted. You should download the compliance submission report and send that to the AO instead of the snapshot of compliance submission. Download the compliance sheet now and submit it, there is nothing to worry about.
