Return filed after due date

30 October 2013 i am salaried employee and income is beyond exempt limit of Rs 200,000/- and if return is filed on 29/10/2013 for A.Y 2013-14, can i revise the same ?

30 October 2013 Not possible to file revised return u/s 139(5) if return was not filed with in due date 139(1)

.
but you can do rectification of return once received intimation u/s143 from CPC

30 October 2013 thank you for your reply, But i wanted to know that one of my friends return which was filed after Due date and then made a revised return after 2 days was filed successfully. In short i wanted to know how was return uploaded successfully though belated return was revised? will that revised return be Invalid Return! please reply me with the consequences if belated is revised & uploaded successfully

31 October 2013 yes, even it is uploaded successfully it may be treated as invalid in cpc intimation

better to wait till u receive intimation 143 and file rectification u/s 14 online
