Hi guys,
I have a query that is for AY 2013-14 ITR was efiled late on 04-08-2013 by a salaried person and he has not sent his ITRV till now, then what is to be done now. I read somewhere that one has to file a revise return and send the new ITRV. But, how can one revise return which was already filed late.
Kindly help.

Better you wait for a few weeks. Every year, the date is extended and the ITRV already received are accepted.

Technically the acknowledgement needs to be sent within 120 days, i.e. by 2 Dec 2013. If it is not received by the CPC by that date the Return is considereed invalid.
In this case he would need to file a fresh Original Return.
