For how many past years I can submit my return file? ( MY LAST IT RET FILE WAS ON 2005-06)

You may file for AY 2014-15 and 2015-16 only according to sec 139(1) and 139(4).
However, you may file the returns for other years manually. But you will have to pay a penalty of Rs. 5,000/-. per Assessment Years.
