07 May 2009 Under Form-18 Point No.3(b)is this the date of dissolution, if its dissolution of firm? Documents required for dissolution is Certifed true copy of dissolution deed, do we have to submit the other 2 requirement also?

21 July 2025 Regarding informing ICAI about the retirement of a partner from a partnership firm, here are the details:

Form to be submitted:
Form 18 (Return of change in partnership firm)

Where to get Form 18:
You can download it from the ICAI official website or get it from the ROC (Registrar of Companies) website if applicable.

About Point No. 3(b) in Form 18:
This refers to the Date of dissolution only if the firm is dissolved.

If the firm is not dissolved but a partner has retired, this date is left blank or marked as not applicable.

If the firm is dissolved, you need to submit the Certified True Copy of the dissolution deed.

Documents generally required with Form 18:
Certified True Copy of Retirement Deed / Supplementary Deed (for retirement of partner)

Certified True Copy of Partnership Deed (updated with the retirement clause)

Certified True Copy of dissolution deed (only if firm is dissolved)

You do not need to submit all documents if only a partner retires and the firm continues.
