What is the treatment of amount received by the legal heirs of a deceased govt employee i.e death gratuity, PF , family pension? Whether all of the above amounts needs to be reflected in the IT return of the legal heir?

it will be reflected but not taxable.

Thank you sir for your valuable reply. Sir, to be more specific under which heads of income will the above amounts needs to be reflected in the It return of the legal hier. Further as far as Family pension is concerned, it is to be shown as Income from other sources & also sec. 89 speaks of claiming relief in respect of arrears of family pension received. So whether the amount of family pension received by successors of deceased govt employee is also taxable & whether relief can be cliamed?
