15 April 2015 Dear sir, I responded to outstanding tax demands of many of our clients in our office. But till date the demands are appearing as it is and many of refund of suceeding years have adjusted with the same. What is the procedure for the demands to be cleared..? I have contacted CPC, they have asked me to go to AO and ask him to approve from CPC AO portal. after this i have contacted AO many times for the same and he assured that the same will be done.. but till date no demands are cleared..
Please help.....

15 April 2015 It is a time-consuming process. You will have to wait for a few weeks.
Sometimes, there may be delay from the part of your A.O.
So, at regular intervals, say one week time, keep on disturbing you A.O. This is the only solution.

28 May 2015 I after informing the PR of Income tax department regarding the verification of Demands, the CBDT has now issued a circulars giving the procedure for verification of demands.
