Sir I have filed my return .Intimation u/s 143(1) shows a demand of tax amt whereas as per e-return submitted refund order is due in respect to excess TDS.I am a govt employee & difference is due to status of booking being shown as P .What to do now???

Check 26 AS from income tax site and make rectification u/s 154

Dear Experts, Please read the full question.
In form 26AS Booking Status is showing P, "P" means Provisional- Only for TDS/TCS affected by Government deductors. Provisional tax credit is effected on the basis of TDS/TCS statements filed only. On verification of the payment details by the Pay & Accounts Officer (PAO), status will change to Final (F).
So no need to worry Check Form 26AS and File the rectification U/S 154 and You can talk to your employer also about it.If you have the TDS certificate than no need to worry about Booking status.
