06 April 2015 Is their any procedure through which i can ask IT dept. about any query regarding tax matter, so that no assessing officer can harass me or any other tax payer using his own interpretation of the act.

06 April 2015 Sir, there is no such procedure. Even if you contact some I.T.Officer and he solves your query, there is no official backing of such action. You have to consult an expert. Why any body should or can harass you if you are on the right track. If you have any problem kindly write on this columns and you will get authentic reply which you can even show to you harassing officer.

06 April 2015 This is ease of doing business we expect from govt., clear cut guidelines, so that we can concentrate only on the business. Practically in absence of any such mechanism it gives bargaining power to assessing officer and business man dont want litigation.
