suppose im a foreign citizen visiting india for the first time in py 08-09. stayed here for more than 182 days in the py 08-09.
did not take up any service or occupation. nor did i do any business. but i have casual income and income from other sources(interest from bank deposit).
what will be my residential status for py 08-09?

this means that residential status in only with respect to physical stay.
section 6(5)of the IT act says that if a person is a resident with respect to one source of income, he automatically becomes a resident for all sources of income.
