21 August 2015 Hi,

I have a query on residential status.

In case an Indian Citizen who has gone out for purposes of Job abroad and he returns back permanently to India after 2 years of stay abroad. In that case what would be the residential status of the person.

Thanks for the response.

Till FY 12-13 Resident for all years

FY 13-14 - Sep 28 (Left India for Job abroad)
FY 14-15 - stay in India 51
FY 15-16 - already spent 42 days in India on vacations plus return back to India 1st Oct (Permanently)

22 August 2015 For Fy2013-14 it is resident.
For FY2014-15 it is NOR (AY2015-16)
For FY2015-16 it is resident.
