Requirement to apply for a new pan card

13 December 2018 sir, I have a HUF client. Kartha of that Huf died recently. HUF consists of kartha, his son and daughter in law. Now, is the legal heir (son) required to obtain new pan card to continue the same business(of HUF) or is there any option to change name of kartha and continue the same pan.

what will be the implications on GST. kindly guide me.

14 December 2018 HUF is a separate legal entity and you do not need to change the PAN of the Karta, but there are many other things which would be required to be done, like a change in name of Karta, change of signature, intimation to the bank, treatment of property of the father etc.
No GST implications.
