I have received a house property from my father through a gift deed.Its the sole property in my name.Along with it I have income from savings bank interest and fixed deposite interest, for which I have submitted Form 15G.I have no other income except the aforesaid incomes.Whether I need to file Income Tax return for A.Y. 2015-16?If yes how to show the house property in IT return as its deemed self occupied?My father used to give income tax on the property till A.Y. 2014-15.Thanking you in advance.

Yes Ritam ji , you need to file the return for this current assessment year as well as the property would be deemed let out if you have already other house in your name which is occupied by you
