24 November 2010 I have Invested in various mutual funds and they Issued me TDS certificates and the nature of payment they have mentioned is "REPURCHASE OF UNITS". I want to the amount they have mentioned in TDS certificate is Taxable or Not.

24 November 2010 It seems that Mutual Fund has not deducted STT on repurchase of Unit. In that case you have to pay Tax depend on the period of holding. If it is less than 12 months, income will be short term otherwise long term
