Who can be a representative in ITR. Is there any restriction on it?

What are the advantages of representative.

I donot know anything about representative. Please expain in detail.

12 October 2009 I presume that your query is related to the persons who can sign the ITR representing some other person. Please refer to Sec140 and a person duly authorized can sign. In the case of minors parents can sign and in the case of mentally incapacitated persons his next friend can.
