What are the consequences for not filing Form 29B along with the Income Tax Return on or before the due date u/s 139(1)??
Also plz suggest if the said report can be filed now if not filed earlier??

Form 29B is not required to submit to income Tax Department till Asst. Year 2012-13 as now a days I.T. Returns are paperless.
But, For Asst. Year 2013-14 it is compulsory to submit online form 29B. If you have not file it of Asst. Year 2013-14 then, you may revise the return and file it accordingly.

Does this mean that the Income Tax Return need to be revised for the said purpose? I have already filed the Income Tax Return within the due date mentioned u/s 139(1). What remains to be filed is the Report u/s 115JB in Form No. 29B.

Form 29B is to be filed Fisrt then, you have to file company's Income Tax Return.
You can not file Form 29B after Filing of Income Tax Return.

Actually we tried and the Form is getting filed now..without the need to revise the return

But, I think as you have filed Form 29B after Filing of Income Tax Return, it is not right. You may contact Income Tax Department Helpline regarding this.
