Respected Sir
One of my client is involved in renting of photocopier machine to customers. They usually send machine to the premises of client and charge some rent. Pls tell me whether the service tax is involved in renting service or not. If not is vat is applicable and if yes why?

If effective control and possession of machine given to customer- no service tax and no VAT
If not, VAT would be applicable and no service tax
If not, VAT would be applicable and no service tax
