RENTAL AMOUNT FOR COMPTING TDS

I AM AUDITING A COMPANY WHICH ACQUIRES SAPCE FOR RENT AND SUB LETS IT. THE COMPANY PAYS MAINTENANCE CHARGES AS AGREED . MY DOUBT IS DOES MAINTENANCE CHARGES FORM PART OF THE RENT ? BOTH THE RENT AND MAINTENANCE CHARGES ARE PAID TO THE SAME PARTY FOR THE SAME PREMISES. THE COMPANY ENTERED BOTH RENT AND MAINTENANCE CHARGES UNDER SAME SINGLE AGREEMENT WITH THE SAME PARTY.

Maintainence charges fall under the class "amenties" of rent. Therefore TDS will be deducted on the total amount.
