Sir,
It is mandatory to get receipt for rent paid to family member i.e. mother. while claiming exemption HRA.
in ITR as i am salary person.
i am paid rent for the year 2014-15 Rs 2500/- and Rs. 2700/- for 2015-16.

yes you have to get the receipts or rent paid, its no difference ,, its relative or not.
